Portrait of the artist's Mother

Here's a portrait of my mother done with HB to 8B graphite pencils, 6B charcoal sticks and 2B white Conte on grey mouse paper. The drawing was done from life and detail was added after by looking at pictures taken during the session. Love you Mom!

Brianous K. Royavitch!

Let me start off by saying, before I even scrolled down to read the text, I knew instantly who the portrait was of. Great likeness and VERY well handled. I would go as far to say it is the best portrait you have done so far.

I'm glad to see you are still drawing amidst all your programming. Keep making me proud, BRoy!

Great contrast and masses, Broy! I'm with Jono on this one, it's certainly the best one I've seen.

Nice work. My favorite parts are the subtle side hatching around the far shoulder and under the cheek bone.

Thanks for the comments too!
